Transportation packaging safety certification

    Overview

    What is "transport packaging"?

    In order to minimize the damage caused to the product during the transportation and circulation process, to ensure the safety of the product, to facilitate the storage and transportation, and to speed up the handover check, the package with the main purpose of transportation, storage and transportation in the package is usually called the transportation package.

    Basic requirements for transport packaging:

    Have sufficient strength, stiffness and stability;

    It has the protection ability of waterproof, moisture proof, insect proof, anti-corrosion and anti-theft;

    The selection of packaging materials meets the requirements of economy and safety;

    The weight, size, logo, form, etc. of the package shall conform to international and national standards, and be easy to handle and handle;

    It can reduce the labor intensity of workers and make the operation safe and convenient;

    Meet environmental requirements.

    Classification of performance tests for transport packaging:

    Mechanical resistance

    Can withstand multiple drops, vibration and other modes of transport (including motor transport, shipping, trains, aircraft), stacking and other external forces without damage, usually speaking mechanical properties are anti-drop, impact, vibration and resistance Pressure performance.

    Environmental impact resistance

    Transport packaging should ensure that some special types of products have waterproof, moisture-proof, rain-proof and air-resistant properties throughout the circulation process.

    Anti-biochemical performance

    Anti-insect, anti-mouse and other external organisms, chemical resistance and mildew resistance.

    ISTAInternational safe transport association

    ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) is an international non-profit organization. Its predecessor is NSTA - National Safe Transportation Association. Currently, there are hundreds of well-known freight companies and members around the world. laboratory. It has been working to assist members in developing effective packaging, methods, logistics systems, etc., to improve the safety of the packaging of the product, thereby preventing or reducing the loss of the product during transportation and handling. The organization has published a series of standards as well as documentation of test procedures and test items as a basis for evaluating the safety of transport packaging. ITC Shenzhen Farah has obtained ISTA certification (ISTA ID: ST-10351), can provide a series of transport packaging testing and quality assessment services, and can issue ISTA-approved formal packaging transportation test report.
