The Bluetooth Compliance Program includes the process by which a member demonstrates and declares that the product, or the product itself, has complied with the Bluetooth License Agreement as it is constructed, labeled, or otherwise presented. The two license agreements are:
Bluetooth Patent and Copyright License Agreement - Reciprocal License between each Bluetooth SIG member for their respective intellectual property rights
Bluetooth Trademark License Agreement - a license previously signed by the Bluetooth SIG (Bluetooth Trademark Owner) and each member authorized to use the Bluetooth Trademark
The Bluetooth SIG expects member companies to carefully read the terms of the license agreement and to consult their legal counsel regarding any applicable regulations. If a company wants to use the Bluetooth trademark, the company must complete the Bluetooth compliance process. The process consists of two steps, and members can complete the online tools under SIG management — qualifications and claims.
