What is ETL certification
ETL is the abbreviation of ETL Testing Laboratories Inc., founded by Thomas Edison and in 1896, is an NRTL (National Accredited Laboratory) accredited by the US OSHA (Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration). After more than 100 years, the ETL logo has been widely recognized and accepted by major retailers in North America, and enjoys a high reputation like UL. ETL Inspection Marks Any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product with an ETL inspection mark indicates that it has been tested to comply with relevant industry standards.

Electrical, mechanical or mechanical products
Any electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical product with an ETL mark indicates that the product has met the minimum requirements for generally recognized US and Canadian product safety standards and is tested to comply with relevant product safety standards. ETL also requires that its production site has been inspected and the applicant agrees to periodically follow-up inspections of its factory to ensure that the product consistently meets this requirement.
Certification data provided
There are two ways to obtain an ETL certificate. One is through the CB test report, and the other is a direct application. The required submissions are as follows:

4. Samples (4-8)
5. Other relevant test results and product data, such as product descriptions, photos, component lists, product performance and specifications, circuit schematics, etc. (If you pass the CB report, you need to test the difference)
Factory inspection
Before the ETL is issued, the factory inspection is required. After that, the factory inspection will be carried out from time to time. The cost of the certificate will be paid quarterly in addition to the factory inspection fee.
